Yeah, so it turns out I really did have a WIP version of the hack. That explains the legendaries on the very first route and the boss battles at the pond. Sorry for the mistake, mea culpa! Restarted with the proper rom. (The sexism, ugly sprites and engrish remain)

After encountering a lvl 2 version of this game’s equivalent of Groudon (I’m not even kidding), Batman discovers the rarther questionable offers in the local store.
The craftmanship of this game is marvelous. You know how when you cheat for certain Pokemon in Ruby/Sapphire, they will appear on the very first route of the game?
Looks like this cheat is always turned on in this game, because I encountered a couple of very “nonstartery” looking creatures on lvl 2 and THIS fucker on lvl 42.
Seriously … Why? IT KILLED ROBIN, BATMAN’S MOST BELOVED ASSISTANT IN ONE HIT! YOU ASS.
Pokemon Quartz is also, aside from filled to the brim with ugly sprites and bad English, totally sexist.
If you play as the male character, your female counterpart will IMMEDIATELY fall in love with you the moment she lays her eyes on you, constantly compliments your skills, looks and whatnot and doesn’t have any kind of will to be better than you.
If you play as the female character, your male counterpart will IMMEDIATELY hit on you, be a total douchebag and womanizer, and you can’t even say anything against it. There are no yes/no choices for approving of his advances, your character will just talk for you and totally love the dude’s arrogant flirting.
I’m not one to call everything and their mom sexist, but … THIS?
